Investing in Yourself

Choosing therapy is an investment in yourself, your relationships, and your overall quality of life. As a private-pay practice, I am able to offer personalized, trauma-informed care guided by your needs rather than insurance company restrictions.

Why Choose a Private-Pay Therapist?

Choosing a private-pay therapist gives you greater flexibility, privacy, and control over your care. Rather than having treatment directed by insurance requirements, therapy is tailored to your individual needs, goals, and pace. Private-pay therapy also offers several benefits:

Personalized Treatment

Your therapy is based on what will best support your healing, not on insurance-approved diagnoses, session limits, or treatment restrictions.

Greater Confidentiality

Insurance companies typically require a mental health diagnosis and access to aspects of your treatment in order to authorize or reimburse services. With private pay, your personal health information remains between you and your therapist, except where disclosure is legally required.

Flexibility in Care

We can determine the frequency, length, and type of sessions that best meet your needs, including EMDR Intensives and extended sessions that are often not covered by insurance.

A Collaborative Approach

Therapy is guided by your goals, allowing us to focus on lasting growth, healing, and meaningful change rather than meeting insurance documentation requirements.

Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits

Ground & Grow Therapy is an out-of-network provider. However, many insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. Upon request, I can provide a superbill which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Questions to ask your insurance company:

Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

Is there a session limit, and if so, in what time period?

Is there an out-of-network deductible?

If so, what is it and how much of the deductible have I met so far?

How do I access the necessary forms to submit for reimbursement?

Are virtual therapy sessions eligible for reimbursement?

Good Faith Estimate

In accordance with the No Surprises Act, I provide Good Faith Estimates for clients who are uninsured or choose not to use their insurance benefits.
