Ground & Grow Therapy

Areas of Specialty

Evidence-based therapy focused on the root causes of your struggles, not just managing symptoms.

Anxiety & Stress

Racing thoughts, perfectionism, and chronic overwhelm can make it difficult to slow down and feel at ease. Therapy helps calm your nervous system, develop effective coping strategies, and build lasting confidence and self-trust.

Trauma & EMDR Therapy

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing experiences, reducing their emotional impact so you can respond to memories and triggers with greater calm, clarity, and resilience.

Relationship Challenges

People-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, and fears of conflict or abandonment can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Together, we'll explore these patterns, strengthen self-trust, and work toward healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Burnout & Emotional Exhaustion

Constantly caring for others, managing responsibilities, or pushing through stress can leave you feeling depleted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from yourself. Therapy can help you identify the patterns contributing to burnout, restore balance, and create sustainable changes that support greater well-being and fulfillment.

Healing at the Root

Lasting change happens when we address the underlying experiences driving current struggles, not just the symptoms. By integrating trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, relational therapy, somatic awareness, and mindfulness, we work toward greater healing, emotional balance, and connection to yourself and others.

I

Trauma-Informed & Relational

Every aspect of our work is guided by an understanding of how past experiences shape present-day emotions, relationships, and sense of self.

II

Evidence-Based

I use EMDR, CBT, somatic awareness, and mindfulness-based techniques to support healing, growth, and lasting change.

III

Warm & Collaborative

Clients often describe my style as authentic, down-to-earth, emotionally attuned, and focused on meaningful, lasting change. While I offer compassion and support, I'm also direct when needed and believe that humor can be a valuable part of the healing process.

You're Ready for Something to Change

You've spent a long time carrying more than most people realize.

Maybe you've become the person everyone relies on. You keep moving forward, stay productive, and manage your responsibilities, but underneath it all you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself.

Now you're looking for a therapist who understands what you're carrying and can help you move toward healing, growth, and lasting change.

Many of the clients I work with are insightful and self-aware. They understand their patterns logically, but still find themselves stuck in cycles of anxiety, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or difficult relationship dynamics.

Perhaps you've tried therapy before and found it helpful to talk, but something still felt unresolved. You gained insight into your experiences, yet the deeper emotional healing never fully happened.

Therapy can feel vulnerable. It takes courage to let someone into the parts of yourself you've learned to keep hidden. But when you feel safe, supported, and truly understood, meaningful healing becomes possible.

A Little About Me

Hi, I'm Elizabeth Cleary, LPC, founder of Ground & Grow Therapy.

I earned my Master of Science in School Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. I am also EMDR-trained and specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

Ground & Grow Therapy was created from my belief that healing happens when we feel safe enough to slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and process the experiences that have shaped us. My goal is to provide a warm, collaborative space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to create meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of the therapy room, I'm a wife, mom of three, and dog mom to our sweet pup, Sadie.

Like many of the clients I work with, I understand the challenges of balancing family, relationships, work, personal growth, and the countless responsibilities that come with everyday life. That's part of why I value authenticity, self-awareness, humor, and creating a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves.

I live in Delaware County and provide virtual therapy throughout Pennsylvania, including Havertown, Haverford, Ardmore, Bryn Mawr, Wayne, Media, Newtown Square, Philadelphia, and communities across the Main Line.

When I'm not working, you'll often find me cheering from the sidelines at my children's activities, spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, or planning our next beach getaway.

I also enjoy fitness, staying active, reading, listening to podcasts, and continuing to learn from other therapists and professionals whose work inspires and deepens my own.

Whether I'm spending time near the water, learning something new, or sharing a meal with people I care about, I'm reminded of how important it is to stay connected to the things that help us feel grounded, especially during life's busiest seasons. That belief is at the heart of Ground & Grow Therapy and the work I do with clients every day.
